A Call to Action for Families

Embracing Hope: Addressing the Overlooked Crisis

Join us in our mission to bring awareness and change to the hidden epidemic of FASD, impacting countless families across the nation.

Our Story and Mission

Born from the personal journeys of Joel Sheagren and Carl Young, this document emerges as a response to the gaps in the Make Our Children Healthy Again Strategy Report. With firsthand experience raising children affected by FASD, autism, ADHD, and trauma, Joel and Carl were compelled to highlight the critical issues of Prenatal Alcohol Exposure (PAE) and Fetal Alcohol Spectrum Disorders (FASD). Their work is a testament to the struggles faced by families and a call for national recognition and action.

Key Issues and Insights

This document sheds light on the pervasive impact of FASD, a condition affecting more Americans than opioid use disorder or autism, yet often overlooked in health policies. It underscores the need for targeted prevention, professional training, and integrated support systems to address the challenges faced by affected families.
